As the tradition of the Peloponnese Railways dictated, the order for
these locomotives was given to the German manufacturer from Mu-
nich, Krauss. This class was only made up by two members, which
are quite interesting. They were saturated steam locomotives with
two sets of driving wheels and a two axle leading bogie. The intere-
sting thing about these locomotives is that the whole leading bogie
is behind the cylinders, which is something unusual. The most pro-
bable explanation is that, by this arrangement the total wheelbase
could be shortened so the locomotive could be accomodated in the
small turntables that existed on the network at that time. We do not
know anything about their service life nor any of the exist today. This
gives us an indication that they could have been transfered to the
Bursa-Mudanya meter gauge line in Turkey around 1920 ,along with
more rolling stock from the Peloponnese Railways, during the
Hellenic - Turkish war.
